About
Who are we
The Dell has been family run since 1988 and prides itself in providing high quality, fresh food and beverages. It is ideally located on the beachfront and can be accessed either by walking along the seawall from Ryde or Seaview. Parking is available in Puckpool Park behind.
What’s here
Sit and watch an array of colourful yachts and liners passing through the Solent’s waters. Feel free to bring your dogs to the restaurant and we’ll even give them some treats, if that’s okay of course! The restaurant sits in an elevated position right on the seawall with views of Ryde Sands to the pier and across the Solent to Portsmouth and Southampton. Puckpool Park can be found directly behind with its historic Napoleonic Fort and children’s play park.
Come down and grab some food with us!
Alison and Jason have introduced a varied and healthy menu with regularly changing specials, often influenced from their travels abroad.
Make the most of the stunning views over Appley and Puckpool Sands and the Solent while choosing from our extensive breakfast menu. From beetroot & feta hash and posh poached eggs, avocado & sourdough to a delicious full breakfast.
Whether you’re in the mood for a light bite, some small plates, or a hearty meal, we’ve got a main menu that caters to everyone, all with a fun Pan-Asian twist. We’re all about using local, seasonal ingredients whenever possible, and we get fresh fish delivered right to us from the Island, Brisham, and St Austell. Our Seafood Specials are a big hit, especially during the summer.
On those cosy Sundays from Autumn to Spring, we offer our popular all-day brunch menu. It’s available from 9am to 3pm and features a mix of firm breakfast favourites along with some hearty dishes from our main menu.
The restaurant has a full licence, adding cold beers, fine wines, cocktails and a gin bar to the menu. Beautiful glass open fronted French doors mean you can feel like you’re outside even when you’re inside and still enjoy the extensive view. The Dell is an eclectic beachside restaurant with a cosmopolitan feel and during the winter months has a cosy wood burning stove to warm alongside.
The Dell is often considered one of the most dog-friendly restaurants on the Island. Offering dog treats to all pets that come in and have several drinking water bowls. Take a look at Man About a Dog Blog’s review of The Dell on his website, where he mentions The Dell being one of his favourite places.
